There was definitely magic in the air in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday 7 May for the announcement of Disneyland Abu Dhabi. MD Steve Sidwell, worked alongside an incredible team producing the vision, the talent, the execution and all in 12 days from taking that first call! Five flights in five days, fuelled on little sleep, lots of laughs and working with some of the best in the business. The Walt Disney Company and Miral celebrated the announcement of the region’s first-ever Disney theme park resort destination in spectacular fashion as a stunning drone show and fireworks spectacle lit up the Abu Dhabi night sky. This new destination project will be fully developed and built by Miral, with Disney and its legendary Imagineers leading creative design and operational oversight. The upcoming resort promises to seamlessly blend Disney’s iconic stories, characters and attractions with Abu Dhabi’s vibrant culture, stunning shorelines, and breathtaking architecture.
